Our take

Acuity Scheduling (part of Squarespace) is built for businesses whose customers book appointments: coaches, therapists, salons and studios. It handles the things meeting schedulers skip, such as intake forms, packages, memberships and gift cards, and takes payment through Stripe, Square or PayPal.

Plans are priced by the number of calendars, not per seat: Starter has one, Standard six and Premium 36. That makes Acuity good value for a small team on Standard compared with per-seat tools. SMS reminders start on Standard, and Premium adds a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement and Acuity's AI Booking Assistant.

The trade-offs are a 7-day trial instead of a free plan, an interface that looks older than newer rivals, and US-centric pricing in dollars.
